Fundraising

That Greater Cleveland Chorus (GCC) is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit, educational organization?  The chorus relies on generous donations, grants, membership dues, and fundraisers to meet the expenses associated with vocal education, costumes, music and community performances.  Ask any member of Greater Cleveland and they will tell you how important this group is to them!  Our chorus is the current regional champions and will be going to Honolulu in November of 2008.  We are in need to raise substantial funds so that all participating members may attend to represent us at this international contest.

Sponsorships & Planned Giving

Donations and matching funds are always welcome.  Remember Greater Cleveland in a Trust or Will.  We are a non-profit group, you can write off a portion of your donation on your taxes.  **Please check with your financial advisor on laws and regulations.

Gift Cards

Just like Giant Eagle, we sell gift cards.  We have gift cards for over 60 different retailers!  We have gas stations (Speedway, BP), restaurants (Applebee’s, Starbucks), grocery stores (Giant Eagle, Dave’s) retail shopping stores (Kohl’s, Home Depot) and many more!  We’ve recently added Tupperware gift cards too.  You won’t achieve Get Go points; however, you’ll be forever in our hearts!  Visit our website for stores listed.  We earn anywhere from 4% on up of sales.  This is a year round event and we can accommodate requests in a week’s time. Internet Fundraisers

Do you shop online?  The iGive.com website:  http://www.igive.com/GCC.  After you get your gift cards from GCC, go shop on-line.  (You can still use your credit card at iGive, if you prefer.)  Get all of your gifts here!  Click on this link and it will take you to the home signup page.  Go to www.igive.com and type in Greater Cleveland Chorus in the cause box.  You'll fill in your personal info.  Then on the right side of the page, you can decide if you want to get a tax deduction for the donations to GCC that we get from iGive, or not.  Then you are off and shopping at any of 680 stores.  You simply shop like you normally would, but instead of going directly to that site to shop, you go to the iGive.com website first, and then pick your merchant from there.  iGive will track your shopping AND the donations from iGive.  Once you sign up, iGive.com recognizes you when you go back to the site, so you are ready to shop, shop, shop and do not need to log in.  After you sign up, if you shop within 45 days, GCC gets an additional $5 besides what the iGive gives us.  Remember-this is like regular internet shopping, you just begin your shopping from the iGive.com website and pick your merchant from there.  The rest is like magic.

www.GoodSearch.com and www.GoodShop.com This browser will replace Yahoo, Google, AltaVista, Ask, etc.  GCC will earn $.01 each time you use your browser to search.  At the site you can download the GoodSearch toolbar, if you like, which will allow you to eliminate the step of having to go to the GoodSearch website to begin your internet searches.  If you are using the internet, you're using a browser at some time for searches.  Why not use GoodSearch and make money for the chorus.  Go to GoodSearch.com, log in Greater Cleveland Chorus and begin your internet search.  www.GoodShop.com is very similar to iGive.com.  So if you shop on-line go to the site, click on group sponsor, Greater Cleveland, GoodShop will track your spending and donate to Greater Cleveland.

Magazine Sales

Most of us probably get a magazine that we will renew, are thinking of starting to get a new magazine, might give a magazine as a gift or have friends who might order one.  Please take a moment and renew/order/gift as part of a fundraiser that we are doing.  Here is the magazine website and the code number to enter: www.gafundraising.com   # 664029

1. Click on "online store, support your school" (Or click here to get there directly)
2. In the box, key in the code 664029
3. Then-you can laugh here-they will ask for the student-type in any chorus member name!  (This is optional so you can just click the submit button.)
4. Click "lets' go shopping" arrow
5. The easiest way to find your magazine is to "search by item name" in the box on the left.  When the magazines come up, be sure to scroll clear to the bottom to see all the selections.
6. The rest is straightforward internet shopping.
7. If you are renewing, the information you key in for the renewal must match the information on your mailing label and the renewal will be tacked onto your current subscription.

Tupperware

Book a Tupperware on-line party, fundraiser or home party in January of 2008 and a portion of your party sales will go directly to GCC.  Contact Dawn Livingstone.  216/346-9920.  When booking mention GCC!

Treasure Sale

Do not throw away your junk.  Remember your junk is somebody else's treasure.  We will be doing a flea market in the future, possibly spring and again this could mean a lot of dollars for us.  No clothes please. Contact Jane Weiland to drop off your donations. 330/723-1005.
